Odoo Technical Lead

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Odoo Technical Lead to manage and oversee the development and customization of Odoo applications for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Odoo’s framework, strong technical skills, and experience leading a development team. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, designing and implementing solutions, and ensuring the successful deployment and maintenance of the Odoo ERP system.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Technical Leadership:

    • Lead the development team in designing, developing, and implementing Odoo applications to meet business requirements.

    • Ensure the quality of the codebase through code reviews, testing, and enforcing best practices.

    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

  2. Odoo Development & Customization:

    • Customize and develop Odoo modules as per business requirements.

    • Develop custom workflows, fields, reports, and integration with other applications and APIs.

    • Ensure that customization are compatible with Odoo standards and maintainable for future upgrades.

  3. Project Management:

    • Collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, and business analysts to gather and analyze requirements.

    • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and system architecture.

    • Plan, prioritize, and assign tasks to the development team to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.

  4. Integration & Migration:

    • Lead data migration efforts from legacy systems to Odoo.

    • Implement and manage integration between Odoo and other systems using APIs and connectors.

    • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues in a timely manner.

  5. System Administration & Maintenance:

    • Oversee server setup, configuration, and optimization for Odoo installations.

    • Ensure system security, perform regular maintenance, and troubleshoot performance issues.

    • Develop and implement automated deployment scripts for continuous integration and delivery.

  6. Documentation & Training:

    • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for custom developments, configurations, and deployments.

    • Conduct training sessions for end-users and provide technical support as needed.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Odoo development, with at least 2 years in a lead or managerial role.

  • Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript, XML, and PostgreSQL.

  • Expertise in the Odoo framework, including ORM, workflows, business logic, and interface development.

  • Experience with Odoo API integration and data migration.

  • Proficient in Linux-based server environments and server-side deployment.

  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum) and experience with project management tools.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git).

  • Knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap.

  • Prior experience with Odoo Enterprise.

Job Location

  • The primary work location is located in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

  • This role may require travel across various regions of Bangladesh, accounting for approximately 40% of working time.

Salary Information
