Job Description
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for driving the growth of the ERP solutions business. This individual will be accountable for identifying new business opportunities, building and managing client relationships, and achieving sales targets within the ERP domain. The BDM/ SA will work closely with the sales, marketing, and technical teams to expand the customer base and position the company as a leader in ERP solution.
Key Responsibilities
● Market Research: Conduct market research to identify prospective clients and new opportunities within the ERP sector. Generate leads through networking, inbound/outbound marketing, and attending industry events.
● Sales Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement a sales strategy tailored to ERP solutions, targeting verticals such as manufacturing, retail, and finance.
● Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers to build trust and expand the company’s customer base.

Proposal and Contract Negotiation: Collaborate with pre-sales consultants and solution architects to develop proposals and responses to RFPs. Manage contract negotiations with potential clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms.

Sales Presentations and Demos: Lead or support sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients, showcasing the capabilities of the ERP solutions.

Sales Pipeline Management: Manage and track the sales pipeline, forecast sales revenue, and report on progress against targets to senior management.

Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (technical, implementation) to ensure the delivery of high-quality ERP solutions.
●
Industry Insights and Competitor Analysis: Stay up-to-date on ERP industry trends, new technologies, and competitor activities, positioning the company’s offerings effectively in the market.

Post-Sales Handover: Ensure a smooth handover to the implementation team after a deal is closed, ensuring clients are set up for success with their ERP implementation.
Pre-Qualifications and Skills
Experience:
●
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the ERP or software industry.
●
Proven track record of closing sales and achieving sales targets.
Skills:
●
Strong understanding of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and how they can address business needs.
●
Excellent negotiation and communication skills (written and verbal).
●
Strong relationship-building skills with a focus on customer success.
●
Ability to understand complex technical concepts and explain them in a business context.
●
Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously.
●
Achieving sales target
Education:
●
Bachelor’s degree in Accounts/ Information Technology, or a related field. MBA is a plus. DU preference
